Guiding Principles of R-Men

In the busyness of life, we all need ways to unwind and just have some fun. This new initiative is designed to give us an opportunity to do just that.

It is quite possible to live in a place like Rudgwick and to get to know only a few people well, even though we may have many “acquaintances”. So a small group of us got together to find a way of addressing this “gap” in the social life of many Rudgwick men of all ages. We formed an organising committee and have come up with a programme of events that we hope will appeal to a wide cross-section of the men in our village, whether married or single, working or retired.

This is not a club or society requiring formal membership, or an annual subscription. It is simply meant to provide an outlet for Rudgwick men to get to know each other better and hopefully to form new and lasting friendships. R-men will be run by men, for men and we hope that you will find some (if not all!) of the events listed below of interest. If you want to know more about any of these activities, or have any ideas about the sort of things we could plan for the future, we would be very pleased to hear from you.
